Training Online
This course instructs learners on the basic principles of 802.11xx wireless networking equipment, focusing primarily on 802.11 Wi-Fi. Wi-Fi allows LANs to be deployed without wires and clients to connect to the internet wirelessly. Spaces where cables cannot be run, such as outdoor areas and historical buildings, can host wireless LANs. A wireless network interface card is installed in many computers, video game consoles, smartphones, tablets, printers, and internet-of-things devices. Course Note: This course assumes an understanding of basic networking design and principles.
Please note this course is available as a part of the Integrated Systems Technician (IST) Pathway and the New Hire Essentials Package.
