Fundamentals of HDMI

Training Online

Before HDMI® technology, video connections were mostly analog, and separate audio was a mixture of analog and digital. Meanwhile, computers were using Video Graphics Array to send analog video to monitors. Enter the HDMI system. An HDMI system is created when two or more AV devices are connected together with HDMI cables. This course explores HDMI terminology, functionality, the hardware and the software, and how the HDMI system communicates. It even explores how the choice of HDMI cables and/or extenders to use is fundamental to achieving the expected performance and reliable operation of an installed HDMI system.
