CEDIA’s Residential Bootcamp training is the perfect place to start or level up your smart home technology skills. This three-day hands-on boot camp is designed for those with 2 or fewer years of in-field experience. This course covers everything you need to know to get started, including electricity basics, cable pulling, refurbs, documentation, and a technician's job performance at each phase of installation.

  • The basics of electricity and construction methods 
  • The latest cabling and termination techniques
  • How to read and interpret job documentation 
  • How to safely and effectively install, terminate, and test cables 
  • How to troubleshoot and repair cable problems

  • How to communicate effectively with clients
